MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Imperial College London - October 2014 to June 2018

Graduate from a 4 years' Undergraduate degree at Imperial College London. Master of Engineering (Meng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

At the moment I am on track for a first class degree based on my first two years results: 70% overall. The list of all modules I passed in my time at Imperial can be found here.

It is a very broad degree, it involves all different branches of electronics (circuits, analogue and digital communication, devices, robotics...) with hardware and software. The first two years try to tackle all these subjects. The third year gets more specialized with the opportunity of chosing our modules. Each year the students, usualy in teams, need to particpate to a project with more or less guidelines. The course is a mix of academic lectures and examinations and more practical experiments during electronic and computing laboratories.

  Work Experience

UROP in Imperial College

Researcher - July 2017 - September 2017

I'm currently doing an undegraduate research program in the High-energy physics group at Imperial College London. This is a longterm and ongoing project about developing a low-power data acquisition electronics for radiation detection. The electronics is designed to be used for neutron detectors and gamma spectrometers in radiation safety and nuclear security applications. The electronic part of the system uses a small FPGA for buffering the data from ADCs before transferring selected waveform snapshots to an Atmel cortex-M7 microcontroller as we can see below:

The goal is to use the microcontroller to perform additional processing and forward the result to a PC, e.g. over USB or bluetooth. I'm developping now a firmware to interface with the USB port of the Atmel SAMS70. For obvious commercial reasons it is impossible for me to explain more on the functioning of the device.


Developper - August 2016

SWORD is a software only company specialised in web development and web application. During this internship, I learned how to program in HTML, CSS and Javascript. Then I worked on one of the company’s project based on web application development. The goal is to develop a common software for different hospitals to help the doctors over the treatment of patients suffering from cancer. I did the Frontend (curve animation in JavaScript) as well as Backend (request in Java) to include my diagrams (pictures in the portfolio) in the application.
